Our Story
We Started Because We Could Not Find Good Thekua Anywhere Growing up in Bihar, Thekua was never just a snack. It was a memory. The smell of jaggery and cardamom filling the kitchen during Chhath Puja. The sound of dough being pressed into a wooden mould. The sight of golden pieces cooling on a plate before the puja. The joy of receiving blessed prasad from a neighbour's thali. When we moved to cities — Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai - we tried to find that same Thekua. The kind that tastes like home. The kind that uses real gur and not sugar. The kind that is made by hand, not a machine. We could not find it. So we decided to make it ourselves.
Our Journey
That Is How Magadh Swad Was Born What began as a mission to feed our own Thekua cravings quickly became something bigger. Friends asked for some. Then friends of friends. Then people across India who grew up in Bihar and had the same craving we did. Today, Magadh Swad delivers authentic Bihari Thekua to thousands of families across India - and we are just getting started. We are not a large factory. We are a team that deeply cares about one thing: making the most authentic Bihari Thekua you can find online, and getting it to you fresh.
What We Stand For
Quality
The Recipe Never Changes Our Thekua recipe comes from traditional Bihari households — the same one that has been used for generations. Whole wheat flour, pure jaggery, desiccated coconut, green cardamom. That is it. We have never substituted refined sugar for jaggery, and we never will.
Handmade
Handmade, Always Every piece of Magadh Swad Thekua is made by hand. Our artisans press each piece into traditional wooden moulds carved with beautiful patterns. This is not just about looks — the handmade process gives our Thekua its distinctive texture and flavour that machines simply cannot replicate.
Authenticity
Nothing Artificial No preservatives. No artificial colours. No artificial flavours. We do not need them — when the ingredients are right and the process is traditional, the Thekua keeps well and tastes extraordinary on its own.
